Amulet Bags

The design for this amulet bag was inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, and his use of bold patterns, rich colours and gold.

This bold bag was based on the tribal artwork of Africa.

Louis Comfort Tiffany produced stunning stained glass work as part of the art nouveau movement and inspired this bag

The iridescent beads available now are ideal when using stained glass as the inspiration.

A gold and copper sun blazes from one side of this bag, while the moon shines on the other.  The fringe is in two layers, and contains colours and stars from both sides.

This was designed as the example for an article on colour I wrote for the Beadworkers Guild, and uses analogous and complimentary colours.
