Bags

I made this bag using scraps of silk and velvet for a log cabin patchwork, and then bead embroidered over it.  The embroidery includes a dyed abalone cabochon, and the whole piece was mounted on a bag of Indian red wild silk.  The strap was woven from a variety of fibres including velvet ribbon and gold braid.

This pouch bag was made from ivory silk, and machine embroidered with trailing plants and flowers.  Bead embroidery was used to pick out the design and a strap was added woven from space dyed fibres.  Beaded tassels were added to the ends of the strap, and to the base of the bag.
