{"id":178,"date":"2007-07-07T21:22:55","date_gmt":"2007-07-07T20:22:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/?p=178"},"modified":"2007-07-07T21:22:55","modified_gmt":"2007-07-07T20:22:55","slug":"tour-de-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/?p=178","title":{"rendered":"Tour de France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had to go into London today for a meeting, and when I set off home was in time to see some of the Tour de France taking place around Trafalgar.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image175\" alt=\"Cyclists on the Mall\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/pict0181.jpg\" width=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They came speading down the Mall into Trafalgar Square, before turning down Whitehall.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image176\" height=\"325\" alt=\"Cycling down Whitehall\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/pict0174.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I hung around for a while watching, there were tv screens hung on the front of the National Portrait Gallery, with commentary being broadcast.\u00c2\u00a0 Along with the crowds of people this made for a good atmosphere!\u00c2\u00a0 It was so crowded that when I\u00c2\u00a0went to catch the tube to St. Pancras the station was closed briefly until the platforms were less crowded!\u00c2\u00a0 Never mind, the weather was lovely so I enjoyed hanging around Piccadilly Circus for a little.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image177\" height=\"325\" alt=\"Piccadilly Circus\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/07\/pict0182.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had to go into London today for a meeting, and when I set off home was in time to see some of the Tour de France taking place around Trafalgar.
