As they drove through Dublin on Friday, the traffic was going slowly enough that he got the chance to hop in and out of the van and take a few pictures include this one of the statues in memory of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Irish_Potato_Famine_%281845-1849%29\">Irish potato famine<\/a> near the quay<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"statues\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-myimages\/PotatoFamine2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While Dad was snapping the photos, Mum sat patiently in the van just in case the traffic moved on a few more inches<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"traffic\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-myimages\/Dublintraffic.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were lucky with the weather while we walked around Galway on the Saturday afternoon, although it was a bit grey the rain held off, so Dad was able to get a photo of the Latin Quarter.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Spanish Arch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-myimages\/GalwaySpanishArch2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And finally, they shared the ferry back with one of the lovely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.innocentdrinks.co.uk\/us\/us.html\">Innocent vans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Innocent Van\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bearlybeaded.co.uk\/blog\/wp-myimages\/Innocentvan1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dad&#8217;s sent me the pictures he took during their trip to bring me my worldly goods.
